What is Transition Scotland?
Transition Scotland is a national hub within the Transition Network and we exist to link and support communities across Scotland. Places which are working towards a fossil-fuel-free world whilst at same time, making our neighbourhoods more vibrant, productive, interconnected and rewarding.
I don't have a transition group near me. How can I start one?
Congratulations on taking that first step. Below are some ideas that might help you on your path to creating a Transition group in your community.
- See if there’s a group near you. If so attend one of their meetings, or invite them to your neck of the woods for a chat.
- Read the ‘Starting Out‘ ingredients on the TN website.
- Consider having a small meeting with your neighbours or friends in your local community and informally explore the idea and see who’s interested to take the next step with you.
- Consider scale. Start small and local. Don’t get over ambitious.
Is someone available who can provide a presentation / talk?
Yes, within reason, our members often make presentations to other groups…

Does Transition Scotland provide training and support?
We are working to make TS an official Transition hub and to be able to provide local training and support. Please contact us to discuss your needs and we can work out if that's best done by the core Transition Network or with our help. Over time we want to provide a range of services to assist Transition groups across Scotland.
Can I offer help or donate to Transition Scotland?
We are working on a donate service and to add a link button on our website. For now if you want to donate or offer help/support please contact us using social media or the Contact page on this website.
